Honeycomb Cider Apple Crisp
/This cozy dessert brings out the best of fall. Apples, real honey and our very own Honeycomb Cider. It's light, fragrant and perfectly balanced with just the right touch of sweetness. For the best results head over to your local orchard to get the freshest local apples.
Recipe:
4 cups sliced apples - Honeycrisp or Cortland if available
½ cup Honeycomb Cider
¼ cup honey
1 tsp cinnamon
Topping:
1/2cup brown sugar
¾ cup old fashioned oats
¾ cup all purpose flour
½ tsp cinnamon
½ cold butter
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Toss sliced apples with Honeycomb Cider, honey and cinnamon in a bowl to coat.
Pour into 9 inch square baking dish.Mix brown sugar, oats, ½ tsp cinnamon and flour - cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
Spread oat mixture over apples and gently pat down
Bake in preheated oven until golden brown and the sides are bubbly about 40 minutes
